Yes they do. A person can get rid of it to the point that it has no force in law is my understanding.

It's like being a parent. You tell the kid to go clean their room and they say NO. So you take away their cell phone.

This is what the government does to us. I can't afford to disavow my SS#.

I understand. My mother is on ss and I wouldn't tell her to give it up at this point. What people can do is look for as many ways as possible to not use it, even if it isn't the most advantageous. The government has put us in a trick to make us dependent on them. We need to get away from that depend...
