Many people have problems with strange or unpleasant smells in their homes and cars. Typical air fresheners can be incredibly overpriced. They also sometimes have an odd chemical smell that people might not enjoy or even be allergic too. Smells can turn up for many different reasons from pets and things outside to mold and mildew growing in the back of closets.

Having a home with a clean, fresh scent is not difficult at all. Here is a homemade DIY Febreze that's inexpensive and smells even better than most store-bought brands! This air freshener uses just three ingredients that can be found in any grocery store.

Here’s what you will need: a quarter cup of the Downy Unstoppables, four tablespoons of plain baking soda, a cup of boiling water, and an empty spray bottle. Combine the all the ingredients in a bowl and let it sit until all of the beads have dissolved (at least 30 minutes). Pour the mixture into the spray bottle (a funnel helps!).

Ta-da! That's it!  Now use this incredible concoction on pretty much anything, carpets, furniture, clothes, curtains, etc. Congratulations--your home smells WONDERFUL!

The only spray I use is lysol and it doesn't smell very good but it kills germs. This sounds easy to do and I might try it sometime. I had to look up unstoppables. I haven't seen that in a store around here.
