I think it's a by product of all the stinking rotten stuff in there but the aluminum dross is what's on fire. It's an accident waiting to happen and they just keep piling it up.

If it's a conventional garbage landfill, it's definitely Methane Gas...it's like Natural gas.....

Then it's methane but there's more in there than garbage. Here in Ohio and PA there are many gas and oil wells from the 1800's that were drilled and not capped. Good:....Come to NC....You'll love it...we have lots of people from the Buckeye State here....A few years ago NC State played Ohio State in football....I was amazed at how many OSU fans were there....and most of'em live here LOL....great people
