No doubt. It's part of the judgment we are under for rejecting God's rule.
Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
I don't know the purpose of this comment but if you are hoping to lead women closer to God with it, it isn't a very good choice. I don't know the purpose of this comment but if you are hoping to lead women closer to God with it, it isn't a very good choice. There is so much I could say here but getting into a long argument, because it would be one, over God and Gender issues, would be for me too timely, too off the target of where my mind must be right now, and too fruitless. I can summarize my thoughts though. My turning from Christianity started with this issue, and after ten years of intense research, one day I reached a peace that passeth understanding about God, me, the bible and the understanding of God's will. Here is one small part of what I KNOW - my God did't make ME to be UNDER men in any way whatsoever. God didn't make me to believe blindly. I still hold numerous issues with the bible in my mind - even just the forming of the new testament - and by who? It doesn't matter because it can't matter that much, no one agrees on any of it and most importantly my kingdom of heaven is within. If you feel a need to proclaim that God made women to be dominated and controlled by men, then it leaves me wondering why???? You know, I love you as a friend and as a child of God. I don't want to start a big fight. So, if I don't proceed further with this discussion, it's because what God has given me in my life right now needs attention, not the rehashing of this subject where peace was already reached.
To start with I don't need to proclaim anything but what the scriptures say. The kingdom of God is incorporating the scriptures within a person. To start with I don't need to proclaim anything but what the scriptures say. The kingdom of God is incorporating the scriptures within a person. If you take offense at that I suggest you are in a different kingdom of god than I am. I have no problems with what the scriptures have to say and will make no apologies for them. If I am in the wrong it is easy enough to point it out to me from the scriptures. If you didn't want this to come up then what was the purpose of posting the pic?

I don't care if it comes up but it sure seems like a way far reach to come up with this angle on it. This conversation we've had several times... I do not share with you the complete trust you have in the bible, written how many years ago??? Written by men, for men in a patriarchal society to establish a patriarchal religion. Books chosen from an array of many books, translated and retranslated -- and so on until what grew into the Catholic church, that viper's den, decided just what was and wasn't to be in what we today call the bible. I just do not see every line as assuredly God given for all time and all people. Then we come down to put every Christian in a room and no two will interpret or believe the same and each will argue vehemently why they alone are right. I grew up in this atmosphere among very earnest Christians who lived to serve and save, so I know it personally. You use the bible as the absolute measure. I measure the source itself. On this we will never agree and I don't wish to cast doubt on your faith, so I refuse to argue my point anymore. I have expressed this so many times already in private and public comments ... but ... while I don't doubt mine either. Each of us who claim the right to be called a child of God are set upon a path of discovery for our entire lives. I am at peace with my findings... and I believe the kingdom of heaven is within. Jesus gave us the sermon on the mount - and messages of loving God and each other. I live by that. If you choose to believe every line written by middle eastern men thousands of years ago is the absolute word straight from God reguardless of the choices of books, by whom, who wrote them and how to interpret them, that's your path. It isn't mine. I stand firm on God didn't make me to be subservient to men. If I were a man, I would certainly believe the same thing. It is a spiritual and intellectual belief not related to the gender I happen to be.
