Yes I've been thinking about this hard. For one, the cost of living in America for especially retirees is becoming outrageously expensive to the point of being uncomfortable. Add the soaring costs of health care due to Obamacare and we are looking at disaster for many ahead. Additionally, the extent of liberalism in this country and the many agendas being pushed on American citizens through policies, laws and adoption of global programs is becoming intolerable for me. My quality of life has declined in numerous ways to the point that indeed the consideration of moving out of the country has become a real one.
Recent investigations have turned up many similar answers to where is a good place to go for financial reasons and for climate towards American ex-pats. However I am just beginning this journey of investigation and much more research needs to be done. Below I am adding the links I find related to the topic.
I would also appreciate any input on the subject or locations highlighted in the articles attached.
Here are a few of the locations I've found repeatedly thus far:

I'd select Thailand because we could live there on $1500/mo US and live like Kings and Queens!
The only thing I would despise would be the monks. I literally hate them in person. They appear...
I Love the USA.
New Zealand is nice...
