You come to Hawaii to have fun and adventure but you forget to use caution. Hawaii is beautiful but powerful and we lose tourists regularly for the most part due to their own lack of good sense! Be careful already! And if you go to the bars, just remember not every one is full of aloha. People from all over the world come through Honolulu and not all of them are nice!
And the one tip I always have for everybody is don't ever turn your back on the waves.
