This sickens me. As a corporate accountant/ controller/comptroller working in forensics.......this is deplorable. I've worked for three mid-sized corporations over 35 yrs and the blatant theft of company funds would shock some people. I'm talking, comparatively speaking, big money. They buy cars for the entire family through the company. They furnish a house (expensively) in Florida through the company. (Material for drapes purchased from France for $400/yd wholesale). One couple ate out at fine restaurants every day of the week! Vacations? No problem............on the company! This one also furnished a 23 room house at the expense of the company. Cash sales, which for some companies are scant and other routine end up not in the register but in the pocket!
What I'm saying is that a crack down on corporations (mid size) would reap billions! Going after a man for $895 overpaid to his mother is an abomination.
