Since 1978! I remember 1978 because I was working two restaurant jobs that year trying to make ends meet. But I'll not complain because that struggle left me hungry for better opportunities which led to getting my insurance license and then becoming probably the first woman in the whole south to get actively involved in the construction industry. I'm not joking either! Yes times were tough but we had something then that we don't have now, a reasonable amount of  HOPE. What hope we have left is forced and comes from faith in God alone. Anyone who sees this country with a gleam in their eyes is delusional. Then, we expected those times to pass but now we have no idea what our future will bring and gauging by what is going on, it looks like things getting worse has a better shot than getting better from where I'm sitting.

So, why should people work when the government pays so well not to?

That can't be true... the government tells me everything's coming up roses.
