I want to share why I haven't been on the front side posting as much lately. I am undertaking a project to revamp my personal website and this is step one in a mutli step process to attempt to turn things around in my life before I hit the wall!
I'm trying to save a couple of hours per day for posts but I feel driven to complete this step one of my journey asap. Instead of a quick update that I originally planned to do, it has become a major revamp in graphics and layout. I've finally created and settled on a theme and I hope getting that part over with will expedite my progress now that there are few basic elements left to make decisions about.
I have such a hard time doing promotional projects for myself. I have to try to get past that and pretend the person I'm acting for is someone else! Otherwise it goes against the grain of my upbringing to not be so rude as to "toot my own horn." I don't think I've ever done as good of a job at self promotion as I have in the past for other people, businesses and causes. I'm working on that internally too but it is a struggle.
Because this is just phase one, my lack of the usual amount of time I spend posting on the front side here may be continuing for a while. Please don't think I am not visible for lack of interest. The interest of continuing this site, is one of the motivating factors!
I hope everyone still enjoys being here whether I'm participating as much or not. I actually get to peek in and read a lot of things when I'm logged in as admin so I won't be missing as much as it might seem, but I will be lacking time to chime in as often for a little bit longer.
PLEASE Wish me luck and any prayers for a successful project will be more than welcomed and greatly appreciated. Included in this project is composing a quantity of text on the topics that reveal themselves to me as I progress. That isn't an easy thing for me to accomplish when I'm under pressure. I'm excited to see the results because I think it will be a big improvement over what is at that site now, but getting there isn't the most fun way I can think to spend my time! I need to figure out how to make it fun, I bet it will go much faster and turn out even better.
