Three recipe videos featuring the main ingredient of vinegar to make inexpensive organic weed killer are attached below. The only one I've tried before is straight vinegar and I didn't have a lot of success with it but that may be because I didn't use a strong enough proof of it. I hope one of these works. I'd rather pull weeds than use roundup or similar chemicals.

The only one I tried so far was the pure vinegar. In one of these videos, the guy uses vinegar in a concoction but he mentions the stronger proof that you can get at some garden centers. I use apple cider vinegar to kill weeds and it works.

Vinegar works pretty good by itself but I would probably add salt to it too. I'll tell you what works real good if you aren't worried about anything else living around it is bleach. I use it around my patio and it kills overnight. When it dries up it leaves salt and no chemicals.

I've never really thought about it but I think you are right. Otherwise why would it turn to salt when it dries?
