BTW....Putin has already agreed that the North Pole belongs to Canada....Canada has sovereignty. Putin and Harper have agreed that both countries will defend the area together as we have the longest unguarded border with Russia. Both Leaders don't want the Japanese, Chinese or the Americans to claim it theirs as they only want to resources....this agreement between Putin and Canada will make sure that the area stays pristine and the eco-environment stays unhampered and safe. Canada and Russia are not interested in the resources on the Ocean floor.
