Maybe I'm just a born skeptic but I can see how this could be used to deny certain people from participating in a lot of commerce. Namely people that don't have a smart phone or don't know how to use it.

I don't post much from this site because they tend to sensationalize. I do think this article has some valid points tho. He talks about the crypto-currencies.

I have been looking for something worth passing on and was glad to find this  - we really do need to know about it - like you said for prayer and for keeping up with where tech is going to be probably in our life time.
