I especially liked the idea of putting holes in the plunger and the inner bucket. Very clever. The other video of the very pretty lady using the big tub....that really did look like a lot of work. But then, it never did any harm to our ancestors!!

I used to watch my mother help her folks do laundry in the yard. But they had electricity for the washing machine and a separate tub to do the rinsing and wringing. My grandparents even made their own soap.
