FL is still my 2nd fav state - HI is my first but at this point I don't know if I could afford to live there anymore. Probably not - and a lot of things on...

I doubt if either of us could afford to actually LIVE in HI anymore. . My husband just returned after a month in Maui. His niece went to Safeway during the month and spent $3k. Of course, grandma paid for it. {can you tell that's a sore subject?}

Booboo kitty never slept on the bed until I put the Christmas throw on. Now she curls up in the middle of it every afternoon. If I don't make the bed, she doesn't get on it.

In the winter, my sister would get out an old pink flannel sheet she put on the sofa. Her cat - a really sweet old man would nearly be jumping up and down waiting for her to finish laying it out so he could jump up on it - he just knew it was for him - and sure enough, it was.

Thanks Wanda. I now have two hospice patients and I don't think I've grasped that they really ARE going to die. I'm wondering how I'll feel when they do.

Probably sad -- but also I hope you feel thankful for the time you spent with them making their transition easier. --- that they will have someone like you will be a blessing to them that can't be measured and the blessing will come back to you multiplied.

Wow....that's the word!!! Thanks. I like 'transition'. I hadn't thought of that and it's going to help a lot. I was just told my one patient is on the verge of transitioning and that sure sounds more joyful than 'dying'. I'm going to use that from now on...transitioning.
