If it's creepy, I like it. As for cemeteries being living museums, I used to walk 4 miles a day in my local cemetery and sometimes sit by their pond and read a book.
I also had many a picnic at my mom's grave site with my kids, nephews and my sister.
One house I lived in as a kid was a block from a large cemetary. I would ride my bike in it for hours, visit graves, read tombstones. It's sort of comforting in a very odd way!
Saf, I literally grew up with a cemetery just outside my bedroom window. We lived in a row house with a small yard and a one lane alley. Then there was the cemetery hedge and the tombstones. I never thought a thing of it because of course, it was quite normal!
I LOVE them!! However, I have to believe that enshrining one's body in a 40 Sq. Ft. plot is atrocious! And who's going to take of these cemeteries 100/500 years from now? No doubt they will be robbed for their earthy contents.
