To celebrate July 4th, they quote a Sioux author “The White man must no longer project his fears and insecurities onto other groups, races and countries. Before the White man can relate to others he must forgo the pleasure of defining them.”
Hey... freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom for the redress of grievances; lets celebrate that we have such a perfect document to guide us, right?
What I'm saying is those freedoms turn into lawlessness without moral pillars as guides and perimeters. I see this quote by John Adams, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” as being almost prophetic. What I'm saying is those freedoms turn into lawlessness without moral pillars as guides and perimeters. I see this quote by John Adams, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” as being almost prophetic. When evil is protected society can only go one way.....down. The Constitution may have worked for a while but because the framers neglected to acknowledge the Bible and Jesus Christ it opened the door to polytheism. We are seeing the results now and they will only get worse imho..
Okay I see what you are saying. I remember that quote from my childhood even. It always made sense - the communists plotted to strip us of Christianity and morals, and damned if "we" didn't let them get away with it. I won't stop fighting their plot, but only God knows if it is not too late for any ...

You know that I've been fighting it for as long as you've known me.I've only recently come to the realization that what I thought was an ally was really a hindrance. When the Constitution protects evil it is not our friend.
But what law doesn't protect evil when evil will operate outside of the law every single time. I don't think anything can protect us from evil except God alone, and maybe ourselves if it comes down to some kind of fight. We better have a lot of weapons and armor (of God) which brings me back to that...

God protects us by obeying His word and yes, self defense is part of that. If we were to follow His word and punish evil the way He instructs evil would not go unpunished for long.

Psamls 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Jesus didn't abolish OT law. He fulfilled the ceremonial part and that is why we have a new covenant. All of the OT law is still valid. The early founders of this country followed it and crime was almost nonexistent.

Any law that is contrary to God's law is calling evil good and good evil.
