CLIMBING UP THE DOWN SIDE OF GUN LAWS  byAnnette Schultz 12/21/2012

I'd like everybody to think on this question before answering.  Why are we so hell-bent on making more and new legislative laws prohibiting everything from obesity, to guns, to kids allowed to play outside without adult supervision when the child is perfectly capable and does walk to and from school without someone holding his hand?

Has no one thought that the average American can handle his own affairs without being micro-managed by some knee-jerking regulation being set into motion from a government official?

Clearly, can someone explain what has happened?  Did we not learn how to tie our shoes, or look both ways when crossing the street?  Are we still being pushed around in a baby carriage with pacifiers in our mouths?  To look at the myriad of regulations that our own government is trying to force down our throats from intercepting and reading our emails to limiting or possibly even cutting off our Internet access, one would think we are still in leading strings (and if you don't know what they are, you may be part of the problem!)?

Since when does the senseless murders that are taking place recently (how suspicious the frequency isn't worth mentioning) mean that law abiding citizens need to have restrictions on our ability to purchase a gun?  Doesn't it seem more logical to arm the 'law abiding' citizenry?  EVERY, and I repeat, EVERT time more guns are placed into the hands of law abiding citizens, the crime rate (get this!!!) GOES DOWN!!!

So can someone articulate the reasoning behind this absurd idea that the law abiding citizen must pay the price and the denial of his freedom to safeguard himself and his family at the liberalization of the criminal.?

No I don't think anyone can understand the reasoning except if they know that there are those who are hell bent on facism rather than freedom for America's future.

The purpose is not to safeguard anyone at the liberation of criminals, it is to provide political semblance of caring and leadership. It is an effort to control people, slowly, under the pretense that they care. Although a combat rifle cannot stop the government should they approach an individual, t...
