A friend turned me onto this a few years ago and previously I got several good programs from it that are still on my older computer that I occasionally use. That I can tell, there is no catch, no danger and no reason not to take advantage of these freebies if you need something they are giving away. Most giveaways last a day although some may last a bit longer and every once in a while they repeat an offer. There is a full range of types of programs made available here.

Occasionally you can find the same program they are running for free either on the manufacturer site or elsewhere but usually these are exclusive offers. I've not found anyone saying they got a virus with the downloads and there are other sites which might offer the same deals occasionally that don't have good reputations.
So far so good for things I've downloaded.
