Today I got the usual please send money letters from several GOP sources from where I've signed up to follow things on websites and apparently from my past history of giving donations to particular campaigns. I was irritated at this and quickly composed the following mail which I replied back to all of the  requests. (Not my best most compelling letter writing but in the heat of the moment, I hope it got the message across that I wanted to send.) I'm posting it here and will be using it in response to any mail or phone call I might get. Enough is enough.

Hello,

As I watch the dirty tactics used in the Cochran race unfold, I pledge to never give a donation to the general funds of the Republican Party again. I will only support candidates that I feel will do a good job. This campaign has particularly disgusted me. I also watch Republicans in DC and elsewhere acting as bad as or worse than Democrats. When I can’t tell the difference in the parties, that is when my loyalty ends. I don’t understand how you can think that the party can support left minded members and still ask true conservatives for general funds to spend any way you want to. I am not alone in my thoughts on this. I own several websites and network with thousands of people who think of themselves as conservatives. Many of us are not sure if the Republican party is the future for conservatism anymore. Please think on this and realize that party loyalty over loyalty to principles will not win out.
