Of these three presenters in the attached video, I'm closer in alignment with Rupert Sheldrake on this and somewhat on the same page of many of the things Tanya Luhrmann says, but I kept thinking two things while watching. 1. They were missing a quantum physicist perspective - which would have been profound in presenting the essence of consiousness in the realm of energy waves and the make up of the entire universe in context. 2. I would love to see average people having this same debate among themselves with the same level of civility!
I don't know if anyone I know will even see this post but I find myself suddenly extremely interested in what people I know think about the question in this debate.
Does consiousness exist outside of the brain? If you have an opinion on this, I'd love to hear it.
MY view - absolutely - the brain simply provides our means to process it while in human form.
