UPDATE: I am ongoing adding links here. I remain on the fence BUT I definitely do not at this time support US aid to Ukraine outside of strictly humanitarian uses.
ORIGINAL BLOG 3/6/22 : I don't know where I stand on this other than in prayer for innocent victims. There is so much going on and that has gone on in corruption and inhumanity in both countries.
Thoughts off the top of my head that keep me from taking a side:
Putin has been warning NATO for years and they agreed to keep a buffer on his border. In this they appear to have lied.
The people who live in the bordering areas generally are more culturally and genetically akin to Russia as we know it.
I've seen so much news on it and all of the liberal sources are jumping on the war train for Ukraine. When was the last time I trusted the liberal media or the Democrats about anything?
Yesterday I saw a translated interview with a French Journalist who lives in Ukraine and she was hysterically reporting that she saw with her own eyes that it was Ukraine's army that was bombing civilians. I took it to be during what is supposed to have been a cease fire for evacuations but that might not be correct.
What about Burisma? I attached a press release back in - I think 2020 or around there, where Ukraine stated money had been stolen from the people and deposited in the Biden owned company. They go into great detail about the corruption. I find myself thinking why no one is talking about this elephant in the room and if any of the money being sent there now is a bribe or payment against blackmail for keeping this entire topic quiet. In the video the "Corrupt Democrats" are mentioned several times.
There are neo-nazi's in Ukraine and USA may have even helped train them. They are the groups previously reported on the East border to have been positioned against Russia. Putin mentioned the Neo-nazi's in a recent speech. (I have a hard time backing that)
I'm not a Putin apologist but no one is reporting on any side except for Ukrainian positions. I want to know more about all of it but I doubt that will be possible when Russian sources are being heavily censored on social media and in liberal news propaganda outlets.
He may be the demon they are painting - or maybe not - I just know there are so many things I can't have to process to make a credible decision on what I think of all of this.
I remain against war in general - and in support of all of the innocent people hurt by the situation on either side. (I might add to this in the future- this is just what is in my head tonight)
