SCHUMER’S SCHUTDOWN

Perhaps among the dumbest things about a government shutdown is the fact that some 90,000 people, unpaid volunteer members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Civil Air Patrol, may not conduct any of their normal activities in support of public safety, search and rescue, and education, because federal government legal liability for the unpaid members is supposedly unfunded as a result of the shutdown.  This stupidity is a carry-over from the Obama administration, and hopefully will be rectified by the Trump administration should future shutdowns occur.

You may remember the 2013 shutdown, in which Obama ordered national parks and monuments closed to the public and barricaded.  That’s not happening this time around, now that we have an American president in office.

One thing that has puzzled me for decades is the term “non-essential personnel.”  These are the people who are “furloughed” whenever the government “shuts down.”  But if they’re not essential, why the hell are they on the payroll in the first place?

Of course, Chuck the Schmuck Schumer continues his incessant whining and lying in the Senate chamber, blaming President Trump for not caving to the progturd demands that some 800,000 people who are not Americans and shouldn’t even be in our country, be given precedence over more than 300 million Citizens.  According to the Schmuck, those 800,000 people who shouldn’t be here are more important even than paying our troops!

Yes, progturds, you sure as hell own this one!
