I've been wondering where to find the lists of email addresses that are being released from the Ashley Madison hack. So far I found this Trustify Look Up interface where known email addresses can be searched. Notably, it has been reported that of those released so far, over 15,000 belong to government officials and workers, Josh Duggar was found to be there and blackmailing has already begun against many who had accounts. When thinking of blackmailing and government officials, one has to wonder if classified information is being requested in return for not releasing information.

I'm adding this recent hack to my bag of reasons why the government needs to back away from computer technology for the storing of sensitive data rather than to continue to embrace it. It has become obvious that nothing online anywhere is safe anymore. Most recently it was reported that databases exposed at least  22.1 million people, including addresses, mental health and criminal records, in two major breaches of U.S. government databases. There are other reports that raise that number to 32 million.

At any rate, I hope no one I know finds a loved one on the list found at the link below!

I don't know what they do with the addresses that are put in, but people would be putting in the addresses of others not themselves. (I mean - a person would know if they had an account right? lol) This is who trustify is if you aren't familiar with them. http://www.trustify.info/
