Not only power but age is against these dudes. Frankly, I don't want to be governed by a bunch of old people like myself. Congress should be a cross-section of the general population but then, that's probably not possible.

This actually pisses me off. I went back to look again at the length's of their 'employment' and I can only conclude one thing....this is NOT a JOB!!! It's a public service role.

I would even be for a total of twelve years for a congressman or senator - because I think there is something about having the experienced in there that could be for the good - if they are on the side of the good. But what we have now is ridiculous and serves no one but the career politicians.
