Ah if I'd known you in 2001 you could have come visited me in HI :D Tahiti - what a cool place. I've never been there but hear it is fabulous.

Darn it. I would have insisted that we'd go to a REAL pig roast. I was disappointed that the one I attended was pre-prepared in a hotel buffet room with high school kids dancing the hula. ;[

Ah yes cooking in an imu! That takes up to two days to do. I attended only a few of these as they are so rare anymore and only real locals do it. But omg the food is fantastic.
