LI’L PETE GETS IT WRONG . . . AGAIN
R. A. Schultz
Just leave it to a leftist who seriously thinks he can be a practicing Christian while being “married” to another man, to come up with a morality myth like this one, courtesy of Li’l Pete Buttergiggie, who Tweeted:
“Today I join millions around the world in celebrating the arrival of divinity on earth, who came into this world not in riches but in poverty, not as a citizen but as a refugee.
“No matter where or how we celebrate, merry Christmas.”
Li’l Petie, that ain’t the way I heard the story, and I went to an Episcopal Sunday School, as I assume you thought you did!
First, there is ample Biblical and historical evidence that Jesus, a descendant of the House of David, was born into what today would be considered a working white, upper middle class blue-collar family. Joseph was a journeyman carpenter who worked for a living.
“Poverty?” Is that why three kings came from the East, bearing gifts for the infant of gold, frankincense, and myrrh?
“Not as a citizen but as a refugee?” The very reason Mary and Joseph were traveling to Bethlehem was to register for King Herod’s census, an official count of the citizens of his kingdom!
Yeesh! Petie, you’ve just proved that you’re yet another leftie who doesn’t know his history from arugula.
