I really enjoy TeamNetworks.Net and the great people I have met here!
I sponsored this ad to show some love. :)

I saw you don't have anything for pets and animals so here goes.

I love cats because when I was a little girl a momma kitty had a litter under our house. I wasn't allowed to have pets and I didn't tell my parents about them. I couldn't wait to get home from school every day and sneak outside to play and find a way to crawl under the back steps to where they were. I would save part of my lunch and feed it to the momma kitty and take her water.

One day after it rained I crawled in the mud to see them and got so dirty that I got in trouble for it. I wasn't allowed to go outside for two more days and I was so worried about the momma cat and her babies. And the day I was off restriction I couldn't wait to get home to see how they were but they weren't there anymore except for one little crying baby. I didn't know what to do for it and I was afraid it was going to die.

That night at dinner I burst out into tears and after a long time of my parents begging me to know what was wrong I finally told them and I was so scared they were going to get rid of it. And I cried just about all night. The next day I was crying on the way to school and my mom didn't say much so I didn't know what would happen. All day I would start crying sometimes and then I was scared to say anything on the way home. But I ran to look under the house and the kitten was gone and I started crying so hard I couldn't even stand up. That has been a long time ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

My mom came out and got me and carried me in and washed my face and then took me into my room. I thought I was going to be in trouble and I was shocked that there was a box with the kitten in it! My mom had a book about how to take care of abandoned kittens and it was a lot of work! I had to feed it with a stopper and rub its belly to make it go ot the bathroom afterwards. I was afraid it was going to die until one day it went to a little cap of water and drank on it's own.

I wasn't allowed to name it until we knew it was going to live and it wasn't long before we were sure it would.  I came home from school and it had gotten out of it's box and I found it had stepped in its water and then walked all over my painting that I made in school that was on the floor. So I named the kitten Joan of ART. Smile

She lived to be fourteen years old and I was in my twenties. She saw me through every phase of my life from childhood, to puberty to being a teenager to falling in love. She was a good listener when I needed one and didn't ask too much of me when I needed my own space. She was my best friend through it all. When she passed away I was so sad and it felt like I lost my little sister or a family member.

I buried her outside under the tree at the apartment where I lived at the time. I was busy going to school and doing all the things that twenty somethings do and I missed her a lot. Then I moved away from there and it was also a sad time to say goodbye for good. Until then I used to go out to the tree and take her treats and talk to her.

About five years later I met someone who lived near there and I decided to stop by and go to her grave while I was in the area. The tree was gone! But I knew where it had been and found her grave anyway. A man who lived in one of the apartments came out and asked me what I was doing. (I probably looked pretty strange sitting on the ground talking to the grass lol) I told him the story and he said his cat just had kittens and he had given away all but one and asked if I was interested? I thought NO I don't have time, but I had to go look at it anyway. (Of course lol) And it looked exactly like Joan of ART! It even had a little white star on her head. So I thought (silly) maybe it was Joan come back to be with me because what are the odds that on the very day I visited someone would offer me a cat that looked just like her???? I knew I had to have her even though it made no sense!

I named the kitten Moishes for the French of Shes mine Moi shes. Smile Moishes was almost like having Joan all over again and she even had a lot of the same habits like jumping on my lap, standing up and putting her paws on my face to pet me. Smile That is pretty strange right? But in other ways she was her own cat like when she would meow along with me when I was singing. Joan never did that. Moishes got cancer and only lived to be twelve and she had one litter and from that litter I kept the kitten that most looked like her, also yellow but none of the litter had the little white star on their head. I still have her daughter that I love dearly! Even though she isn't the grand daughter of Joan because of how I found he rand how her mom was I feel like she is still from the same line of "Kitty Love" that Joan brought to my life. She is the sweetest thing and stays with me like a little shadow. She is the most loving cat I've had or known of. She always wants to be held or petted as much as possible. She is also a great listener. lol Her name is Le Troisième, French for "The Third."

So the reason why I love cats, is because all of mine have been my best friends since almost as far back as I can remember. I don't have pictures on this computer but I will load some as soon as I get to my main pc.

And now you have a pets and animals blog. lol!

I hope I did it right Smile

My cat adopted me and until then I really didn't like cats. lol He is good company and my daughter loves him so it helps entice her to come see her dad more often.
