I've gone from being outraged to sick to disgusted and back to being outraged about the Benghazi Terrorist attack. Now we have the Petraeus story that many are calling a side show thrown in for bad measure.  I don’t see it as a side show but rather to me it seems more like a thermostat indicating how hot the after math of the blazes that burned down the embassy really is for the Obama administration.

I won’t rehash the details of the attack or the affair here but I will wonder out loud how Petraeus will respond if called to testify about Benghazi. Both stories have had so many switches in angles that any average person would be hard pressed to recount them or tell us where either story stands to date.  Add them together and we have multi-verse of versions of what supposedly happened.  I don’t think it is a coincidence that the ever changing Benghazi story was repressed prior to the election while the confusion and overkill of sex scandal references came immediately after the election when most of America was sick to death of thinking about anything related to politics. Depending on which night someone pays attention they carry with them that day’s version of the combined stories. The puppeteers know us all too well. They understand that a confused public will not be united in outrage. And this is where we are today.

That leaves us a future that includes the possibility that Petraeus will speak at a hearing. The fact that it is merely a possibility and not an absolute certainty is another point of discussion that we shouldn’t have to have. But they keep us dazzled with details when it really boils down to one thing. On the fateful night of 9/11/12, it appears that someone in high places gave the order to stand down from helping those who were trapped in the Embassy. Navy Seals don’t mark their location unless they know help is on the way. Who gave that order? Hillary said it wasn’t her and the CIA says it wasn’t them. We’ve learned that Petraeus went to investigate in October, that there is a gun running situation over there that might dwarf Fast and Furious making it look insignificant in comparison. We also know that Obama needs a scape goat and that Petraeus’s life is already in a shambles.

So what will he do and what will he say if called to Congress? Will he put any further threats he or his family may face aside and speak the truth that will bring the guilty to justice and give closure to the families of the victims and all of the part of America that cares about this? I’m remembering this  is something he has not so far shown a very reliable record of in terms of hiding his affair. Or will he betray us like he has his wife and save what is left of his life to further diffuse the search for truth? I might normally say time will tell, but looking back through the past chapters of the Obama administration, I believe I can probably guess the ending of this dramatic tale of terrorism, murder, disgrace and cover up.

He testified today and I missed it. I read that he said he thought it was terrorism. Maybe this is why obama wanted to destroy him. I wonder if he blackmailed him with the affair and then the FBI discovered it or exactly how it all played out. I read that Kelly and Broadwell also both went to the Wh...

You didn't miss much. He said just what he had to and nothing more.

I think he knows more than he said and I don't believe this will go anywhere just like nothing else ever does.

Absolutely. And I wish I could argue that you are wrong about the likely outcome.
