The UNFCCC meeting in Warsaw, Poland, is finished! Great strides were made toward its stated purpose, a “complete transformation of the economic structure of the world.”

The U.S. caved to both funding schemes: “loss and damages” and to a deadline for commitments to the Green Climate Fund.

An international mechanism called the “Warsaw international mechanism for loss and damage” was created and work on funding is to begin next year.

The Green Climate Fund Board is to begin its initial resource mobilization process as soon as possible with rich countries, including the U.S., to announce how much they will “contribute” by next December when the UN meets in Lima, Peru. The U.S. will now prepare biennial submissions on their updated strategies and approaches for scaling up finance between 2014 and 2020.

On the final day of the meeting, I participated in a press conference with Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, CFACT, that cuts to the heart of the issue.

The UNFCCC is following the model of the American “war on poverty” that did nothing to lift people out of poverty, but did great damage to families by making them dependent upon the government. Likewise, starve 1.3 billion people around the globe of their ability to produce energy and they will be forever beholden to handouts from the UN.
