Listening to The Doors in this video brings me back to the memory of me in the psych ward in the mid-90s. I was essentially catatonic from a cocktail of epilepsy drugs and being detoxed. I would lay on my bed and listen every day for hours on end to The Doors.

yes so true - so many singers are enhanced to the point it isn't even really their voices. My first wake up call with that was hearing Billy Idol sing live without the studio equipment adjusting his every note. Wow - the guy was awful lol
