Common Core is a seriously flawed Federal attempt to take over the education of every American child. The people behind this takeover may have different motives for implementing Common Core but the result will be that same. Our children that we love so much and who we want to have bright and fulfilling futures will be trapped in an educational system that only trains them to be servants to government.
I did not think this a few weeks ago but when I saw the same convoluted math work t on Glenn Becks blackboard that I had seen in my own kids’ math book. I then realized why my kids did not understand their math and why they were so frustrated. I knew that Common Core was alrady here and it was bad.
However, the part of Common Core that matters now is the Bill in the Florida SB 878 – Common Core Linked Data Warehouse Bill. The Bill is explained very well by Karen R. Effrem, MD President, Education Liberty Watch.
I urge you weather you have children or not to read the articles below and watch the video linked below and if you believe that Common Core and practically the data mining aspect needs to be stopped, call, write, tweet, or whatever your state representative and ask them to actively oppose further implementation of Common Core and to get your state out of the standard entity.
In the case of Florida, the first step the SB 838. This bill is being tracked by Stop Common Core in Florida, where thare are also links to information about the effort to stop common core. Here you will find contact information on who to call (in addition to your own senator). Also, please help with getting the work out. Remember the officials that help, will be heroes because common core will not be popular when it fully implemented.
