When I first glanced at this DailyMail.com headline, my first thought was that the Lefties were at it again, changing the original global warming to anthropogenic global warming to AGW to climate change, and now to just what? I was pleasantly surprised that finally our side is getting involved in putting forward some definitions. The AGW hoax is now becoming extreme weather phenomena!
Think for a second or so what this does: Officially, real climate change (which has been going on since the beginning of time, with there being nothing even remotely possible that we could do to alter it) is no longer going to cook us all next month like the proverbial frog in the pot. We can all relax (Attention: Snowflakes!) and enjoy officially non-world-ending extreme weather as it occurs from time to time, as it always has, and always will.
Actually, though, I have to take exception to the Daily Mail’s reference to “censoring.” What’s actually happening is that upper echelon bureaucrats in the Department of Agriculture have sensibly realized that, with the change in administrations, the hysteria to impose more government control on the populace has considerably abated, making hysterical terminology no longer necessary. But forgive the headline writers of the Make-Believe Media for their hyperbole. After all, they’ve been making up stuff out of thin air for so long to assist in bringing about the progturd fascist takeover, and old habits are hard to break.
I think I’ll have another Margarita.
