To those who voted for an alternative to Boehner, thank you!
To the GOP - you are leaving me. This is not conservative leadership. Yes I dare to be idealistic. This country was founded on conservative ideals that establish and maintain freedom. Without idealism how else do we know what it is that is greater that we aspire to? You know what conservatives want. You watch the same kinds of social media that I do and they make it clear. Boehner was not who we wanted but rather someone, anyone, who doesn't bend over backwards as far as possible to support leftist big government agendas and still maintain a straight face while confessing to be conservative.
I don't like parties. I think we should do away with them. But until we do I am left without a party. I've stuck with thinking it is better to work at changing the Republican Party from within for too long. I would love nothing more than to see a credible choice for conservatism. Is there anyone who will step up to the plate to make this happen?
BUT until someone does, I won't give up on my efforts because if people stop trying it will decidedly go even further left faster and we can't stand much more of it. We need to right the wrongs to the American people and we have to try everything we can whether that is with or without the help of the GOP.
