The Obama Administration Has Been Wiretapping and Spying on the Associated Press

When people were talking about impeachment for Benghazi and mentioning this horrific tragedy in the same breath as Watergate, I couldn't relate wiretapping to terrorism, and felt the reference for impeachment was distorted. Benghazi is in a league of its own and should be explored to the innermost depths to bring all truth to light and the responsible to justice. Impeachment would be proper for a legitimate president based what is being revealed with more evidence collected. Is Obama even a legitimate president that can be impeached? I can't feel sure about that either.

But this, I can definitely relate to Watergate. Anyone who can continue to defend the scandals, the lies, the corruption, the deaths, (Ft Hood, Benghazi, Fast & Furious, Navy Seal Team Six, Boston Marathon Terrorist Attack) the IRS targeting conservatives, and THIS too, is beyond my understanding.

"The Obama administration, which has a chilling zeal for investigating leaks and prosecuting leakers, has failed to offer a credible justification for secretly combing through the phone records of reporters and editors at The Associated Press in what looks like a fishing expedition for sources and an effort to frighten off whistle-blowers.

On Friday, Justice Department officials revealed that they had been going through The A.P.’s records for months. The dragnet covered work, home and cellphone records used by almost 100 people at one of the oldest and most reputable news organizations. James Cole, a deputy attorney general, offered no further explanation on Tuesday, saying only that it was part of a “criminal investigation involving highly classified material” from early 2012.

We are not convinced. For more than 30 years, the news media and the government have used a well-honed system to balance the government’s need to pursue criminals or national security breaches with the media’s constitutional right to inform the public. This action against The A.P., as the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press outlined in a letter to Mr. Holder, “calls into question the very integrity” of the administration’s policy toward the press."

I can think of four possibilities about what is going on over these past few weeks 1. We are seeing the truth emerge into the light as a natural process of God's intervention and good winning over evil where public perception, pressure and lots of prayer is engaged. 2. Someone from the Democrat Camp is acting on their insider information to facilitate the revealing of truth in a heroic attempt to save the country. 3. There is a serious concerted effort by GOP to expose the lies, failures and corruption. 4. All of the above.

RE spying on Associated Press: What about other press (so called) sources besides New York Times? Are they outraged too? Will they stand by their man or stand up for themselves and the rest of us? They have their own complicity in all of this to blame.
