Why three phases? With a bunch of Democrats up in the Senate in red states, they could get 60 votes to repeal. Sounds like a typical GOP wimp out, aim low to avoid a fight. Why are 9 Democratic Senators dictating the agenda for a Republican controlled government. It is because both sides want the same thing, more Federal control over our lives. Ryan talks about not getting the ability to buy insurance across state lines passed because they cannot do it in reconciliation. So why not put up a bill with that one item on it; force the Democrats to filibuster something that Americans are very much in favor of seeing passed. If the Republicans do not repeal Obamacare in the first 100-200 days, it ain't happening folks. Republicans will snip away at the edges, and leave to real bad parts untouched. When it collapses and the Republicans will get the blame. Then the Democrats will sweep in and give us single payer, federally controlled health care, and everyone will cheer. So, go ahead and do your cheering now, while the RINOs and the Progressives from both sides parties the game. The winner is already determined and was baked in the cake in the primary. Whatever the score is, one thing is sure, You lose.

In this case, they HAVE to do it this way and if you listened to the video you would understand why. I knew about how hard it would be to undo this from the time they passed it because so many libs I was arguing with over Obamacare at the time, online, were bragging about the difficulty if not impossibility of doing it under reconciliation. But then - ALSO the head of the HHS or which ever dept it is running this program, under Obama, - made a bunch of decisions and regulatory changes to the law - as well after it was passed. Those portions also have to be undone in the same manner once the reconciliation bill passes. This bill can only undo what was done in the original bill. That has to happen first - then the HHS can undo the regulatory bs and THEN and only then can they pass new bills to allow purchasing over state lines and any other new things not covered in the original Obamacare bill. It is the only legal recourse and process available to change this bill and it is the best shot we may ever have at it so lets hope they get it done.
I hear Speaker Ryan say "This is the closest we will ever got to repealing Obamacare" Which means Ryan does not want to repeal Obamacare and that the Feds will be running our healthcare forever. I suppose we should all cheer Ryan and Trump for going full bore on whatever they can do that won't upset...
I hear Speaker Ryan say "This is the closest we will ever got to repealing Obamacare" Which means Ryan does not want to repeal Obamacare and that the Feds will be running our healthcare forever. I suppose we should all cheer Ryan and Trump for going full bore on whatever they can do that won't upset the minority Democrats. We wouldn't want Democratic Senators to threaten a Filibuster. Now that's the kind of take-no-prisoners, get-it-done attitude that put Trump in the white house.
