When I saw it I was thinking, well why don't they stand up for themselves? Get a different job? Report them to the state regulators - there are laws protecting workers after all!

No doubt there are people that take advantage of the situation and spend much more time in a restroom that is necessary. I've seen that happen myself.

Great point! That would explain a lot! If it weren't some kind of issue to start with it would seem doubtful that any employer would have to resort to any such measure.
