Oh Lordy, seriously you don't want to know what the last time something went haywire for me was about. Any time the cops are called its better to keep it to yourself. lol
The last thing that really went hay wire for me involved this site while doing something I am about to do again and I'm knocking on wood right now hoping it doesn't happen again!!!
Years ago I had to use a prescriptive shampoo that turned my hair orange and green...and white, and black... It was years before it finally started growing in right, and then it was darker than it had been.
My goodness! Did it go through stages or turn a different color each time you used it? No, surely you only used it once that was probably a stupid question. lol
No, the Doc told me to wash my hair every day with it--it was sulfur-based. No, the Doc told me to wash my hair every day with it--it was sulfur-based. After two weeks of daily shampooing, my hair looked like a long psychedelic wig with bands of all different colors about an inch and a half wide (my hair was down to my waist). I steamed off his label and discovered I wasn't supposed to use it more than twice a week or two weeks in a row. Had to completely strip my hair of all color, pick a color closest to mine and dye my hair for years. The green went first, but the back of my head stayed black for a long time, and the top was dark brown with a white streak on both sides and orangey ends. Finally lost the black, brown and white, but the hair remained brassy for a longer time. This was in the '70s, and I didn't stop dyeing it until 2006! Hair never grew back right, either.
Boy, I can commiserate! I spent the entire day looking for something that didn't exist, including digging through garbage cans! Can I join you at the wine (whine) bar?
I hardly wear it down...with two kids and a hectic lifestyle...I usually wear it in a braid or twisted up, held with two big clips. The only time I wear it fully down is if we are going out....which we don't do much of these days.
It's got a slight natural wave to it. I find having long hair less of a chore than short hair....I can just wash and go...no curling, no blowdrying. If we are going out to somewhere fancy...then I can put it up in a fancy doo ...wear it long and down...it's more versatile to do different things with...

The only hassle for me is...when I want to get rid of the grey roots... then coloring it is a flippin chore! I haven't got enough grey to just let it grow out and not worry about it....but the way life is stressing me out lately...I probably won't be needing to color it much longer! LOL!
I went grey years ago. 5 days after the dye job, there were the roots. My hair grows like weeds so I got so weary of keeping it up. Now, it's almost all white...I've thought of dyeing it all white which I think is really cool looking but haven't gotten around to it. Plus, what's that going to be lik...

Oh, the chores of beauty! Nice that you have a wave. I have one too and in humid weather, lots of them.
I have a little silver at the temples and that's about it. My dad's mother was 90 and still had mostly black hair, just silver around the hairline. With my blonde hair, you don't see the "silver threads among the gold" too much, lol! I'm with you on wash and wear hair! I always pinned it up with...

With my blonde hair, you don't see the "silver threads among the gold" too much, lol! I'm with you on wash and wear hair! I always pinned it up with fancy chopsticks (or a couple of pencils)--now I have short fancy chopsticks that hold the small dead animal in place on my head! Mona likes my "curls." ;-)
Natural color it is! And thank you muchly for the compliments. As I mentioned above, it is darker than it used to be because of all that trauma due to that medication. And much thinner, too, that's why I can't wear it down anymore... ;-(

Mary Ann Otonichar gifted me with a bottle of L'Occitane shampoo a while back, and it really does a nice job on my hair--I love the fragrance of it, too.
I have hair down to the bottom of my butt...I would just be fuming to have to do that!
