The reports were sparked by a throwaway comment by MIT network scientist Cesar Hidalgo on Facebook. He joked: 'This is probably a Facebook experiment!'  'The question is, how long will it take for people to change their profile pictures back to normal.' This led Atlantic to speculate that by setting up its own tool to let people filter their profile picture, Facebook could gain unprecedented insight into how to influence people.

I don't understand this completely.  Heterosexuals live their rather mundane lives quietly, without a flag or protest platform. We work, play, pray and relax without thinking about our 'sexuality' or attempting to let others know what we do in the bedroom.


So pack your flags away, go to bed early, get to work on time and come home to a nice dinner.  That's it.
