isiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said he would support three legislative bills that would remove Common Core from the state. Jindal described Common Core as a "federal takeover of what should be local decisions." He added, “The longer and more time that people are exposed to the frustrations of Common Core, more parents are getting involved and more legislators are hearing from their constituents back home.”


The bills Jindal supports would make Louisiana use the 2004-2005 standards and the LEAP and iLeap tests until new standards could be created. Every elected official in the state involved with education, from state legislators to local school boards would vote on the new standards. Continued...
