Mercury Retrograde

We are entering a time of extreme volatility that begins when Mercury turns retrograde and extends through the Lunar and Solar Eclipses until Mercury resumes normal motion on October 25th. It’s advisable to be prepared for the unexpected, with maybe a quick dash to the hidey-hole now and then, when needed.

Mercury involves mental processes and communication of all kinds. Exploring ideas, seeking knowledge, writing, public speaking, making contacts, even short trips and commerce fall into Mercury‘s domain. During this timeframe, misunderstandings increase, mail and email gets lost, messages are delayed or appear elsewhere, misdirection and frustration with miscommunications and technical failures of all kinds tend to intensify. Odd ideas tend to occur as normal abilities and patterns of writing, learning, and speech become disrupted.

With October's Mercury retrograde upping the likelihood of miscommunications and the ambient energy levels pushed high by the eclipses, there is the potential for explosive over-reactions, both interpersonally and globally. Mercury retrograde reaches from the past into the present to beckon our attention, creating opportunities, large and small, for growth in understanding. With added eclipse energy, Mercury may occasionally demand rather than beckon for our attention.

The purpose of Mercury retrograde is to review and revise our life and our connection with reality. It's a "do-over" time period, allowing us to review our choices and remake them to accomplish our goals; a fine tuning procedure.  Emotional issues have to be revised and updated to align more with our true inner essence, intuition and awareness. Our feelings, intuition and awareness of our inner connection to God becomes the terrain that must be reviewed, revised and infused with spiritual growth and awareness.
