Thousands of South Asian migrant workers are falling victim to people smugglers as they try to reach the US.

They pay thousands of dollars to make a difficult journey.

But most of them never make it to America. More than 1,000 Nepalis have been stranded in Latin America alone.

Al Jazeera's Subina Shrestha reports from the Nepali city of Pokhara.

They should pretend they're Mexican's and they'll be welcomed with open arms.  And don't they know that they can just walk over the border and be welcomed with welfare and obamacare?

I think you forgot your link? This problem with migrants being "smuggled" is an old one. It is like a reverse Shanghai - they get paid to take them away but never to where they want to go.

I've read about things like this before too a while back. I don't know where the people were from but the same things were happening to them.
