I'm blogging for updates on what goes on. To recap, first I got a notice on 7/16 that says
I sent in an appeal explaining this on 7/16
I still haven't received an email notice stating a permanent suspension.
Today I logged on to find this at the top of my home page:
Your account is permanently suspended
After careful review, we determined your account broke the Twitter Rules. Your account is permanently in read-only mode, which means you can’t Tweet, Retweet, or Like content. You won’t be able to create new accounts. If you think we got this wrong, you can submit an appeal.
At any rate I am going to wait a week or two and see what happens. If they keep it I will send in one more appeal. If they don't clear it, I am going to deactivate that account, and all other accounts at Twitter including the TeamNetworks.Net account and one I've kept for use at another site if I should ever want to. It was just a name save but it's still there. - screw em...
This is nothing but political censorship and targeting before the elections. I've seen others reporting same or similar things happening to other accounts. I don't bully people, I don't go to people's posts and start arguments with them, I don't post anything that I can determine is against the rules. The few times I have been locked out over retweeting a post that was then determined to have been against the rules, I simply removed it to regain access.
Nothing like that happened here. I didn't get anything but this BS saying I was trying to evade a permanent suspension that before the notice, never happened.
#LetsGoTwitter
I'm thinking, this may be the best thing that could have happened. It frees up a lot of time.
*Afterthought: So when did Twitter start allowing permanently banned users to stay and read their pages? I bet it is related to Elon Musk offering to buy and questioning the number of users. If they deactivate you, they can't count you, which is especially why if this stays in force I'm deactivating. I will not be used in a misrepresentative manner for their negotiations.
