Mainstream Media Lies To The Masses - Media Hoaxes, Lies, And Fakes; Documentary
The is NO LAW stopping the corporate media from lying. They do it freely. Libel and slander laws apply only to persons as subjects, specifically - not to lies generally.
Since the main purpose of corporate management is to make money, the usual principle for them has become to say whatever will result in the most cash... whether it bears any resemblance to the truth or not. It seems lies are often worth more money than the truth.
Another motivation to lie, is the absorption of nearly all corporate and broadcast media into conglomerates; which themselves are intertwined with military industries and government. Not only does the FCC hold a "sword of Damocles" over ALL broadcast media directly, but there is less visible financial and political control through these conglomerate connections.
