PORTRAIT OF A SWAMP RAT

R. A. Schultz

He seems to have started out normally enough, born in New York and raised in New Jersey, James Comey graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1982 with majors in religion and chemistry (Huh?), and then on to the University of Chicago, earning his law degree in 1985.  He soon became an assistant U. S. attorney in New York and handled several moderately high-profile cases.

In 1996, he served as deputy special counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee, evidently his first recorded contact with the Clinton Crime Family.  The Clintons skated on that one.

In early 2003, he led the prosecution of Martha Stewart, indicted for securities fraud, obstruction of justice, and lying to federal investigators.  She was convicted of lying to federal investigators and served time in a federal prison.

Later in 2003, appointed Deputy Attorney General, Comey took over the investigation of Bill Clinton’s presidential pardon of convicted major thief Marc Rich.  Again, the Clintons and their Crime Family skated.

Interestingly, in late summer of 2005, Comey, still obviously a rising star in the Justice Department, announced that he was leaving government service for the private sector.  He became General Counsel and Senior Vice President for Lockheed Martin.  After almost five years there, he left the defense contractor to become a member of the senior management committee at Bridgewater Associates, a Connecticut-based investment management firm.  Leaving Bridgewater early in 2013, Comey was appointed a Senior Research Scholar and Hertog Fellow on national security law at Columbia University Law School, and about the same time he was appointed to the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings, a London-based financial institution.  Later in 2013, he returned to government service when he was appointed by Obama as Director of the FBI, succeeding his good buddy, Robert Mueller.

Just as an aside, I think it might be appropriate for the soon-to-be-appointed special prosecutor for the purpose of investigating the totality of the Clinton Crime Family, to probe the financial circumstances of Comey’s absence from government service.  Shall we “follow the money?”  Did he ever meet George Soros?  Under what circumstances?  Did he have any interaction with Russians?  Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.  Hmmmm.  Where the hell are the Congressional investigators on this sh!t?

The most recent brouhaha involving the Make-Believe Media’s choirboy Comey and the Clinton Crime Family reads like the classic cluster-foxtrot of all time!  The Make-Believe Media, of course, have been “soft-pedalling” (Read:  Ignoring) the interaction between the FBI, the Department of Justice, the Clinton Campaign, and the Clinton Crime Family.  NOTHING has EVER even been suggested about a George Soros connection!

You may remember that Comey, as Director of the FBI, absolved the Butchering Bitch of Benghazi of “criminal intent” in the “mishandling of information” (Also known as “Emailgate”) regarding the disaster at Benghazi and murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens, as well as a whole bunch of other stuff.  “Intent” was not required as an element of criminality, nor did the Director of the FBI have the legal authority to absolve anyone of anything!

Jim “Cover-up” Comey, once the darling of the Clinton Crime Family, screwed up royally when, just two weeks before Hillary’s expected victory at the polls, he sent a letter to Congress advising that new information regarding Emailgate had resulted in a reopening of the investigation that he had terminated in July of 2016, absolving her of wrongdoing for lack of intent.  Intent, as previously noted, is not an element of the crimes for which she was under investigation.  Perhaps Comey could benefit from a couple of refresher law courses.

Just what the hell happened?  Did the choirboy experience an epiphany?  Was there a falling-out with the Clintons?  Was there a sudden onset of guilt about the previous cover-ups?  Whatever caused Comey to send that letter to Congress, sending it when he did was a classic example of poor timing and, critical or not, had to have cost Hillary at least a few votes.

The Comey letter became another excuse as to why Hillary had unexpectedly lost at the polls, along with Russian interference in the election, Bill Clinton not having his heart in the race, the stupidity of the Basket of Deplorables, the greedy coalminers who wanted to keep their jobs, the incompetence of her campaign’s leadership, media bias against her (really!),     etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseum.

It came as no surprise to many when President Trump fired Comey.  In fact, I was surprised it took Trump as long as it did to get rid of this, shall we say, “poor performer?”

Jimmy is now chin-deep in horseplop as far as the Clintons and their disciples are concerned but, being the slimy Swamp-dweller that he is, he will likely recover, given the proper set of circumstances.  His recovery depends heavily though on his dear sweet friend, Robert “Bobby the Muddler” Mueller fulfilling his duty to the Swamp establishment of inventing “evidence” in the Russia – Trump collusion matter and producing additional Mickey Mouse-style indictments of people close to Trump.

If, in the unlikely event President Trump fails in a re-election bid in 2020, expect to see a lot of firings and a lot of presidential pardons during his parting months.  In the event of such failure, I’m hoping for the annihilation of the planet by that Kansas-sized asteroid that the space cadets have promised us whenever.  Without Trump, We the People will have blown our very last chance to win our country back.

But, right now, as an inveterate political junkie, I’m still having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, watching progturd heads exploding daily.  Thanks, Rush!
