ONGOING DEVOLUTION OF THE MBM

                                                                                 R. A. Schultz

The Make-Believe Media morons have exerted virtually complete control over the actions of the government since Ronald Reagan’s departure from the Presidency.   Indeed, over the course of the past eight years, the MBM’s control has become so blatantly obvious that some have questioned the necessity of even having a government at all!

With the massive Election Day earthquake of November 2016, times have changed.  The MBM is still, half a year later, experiencing a mental meltdown because their anointed successor to their fairy prince was electorally crushed.  They still can’t accept the fact that the “stupid American voter” ignored their instructions and elected a non-Establishment ice-cream-loving loose cannon over their favorite, the (as yet) unindicted lying, cheating, thieving, murdering felon, the Butchering Bitch of Benghazi.

The MBM, still wailing over the firing of the incompetent newswhore Comey, and apparently having too much dead airtime, began to agonize over President Trump having two scoops of ice cream when everyone else at a White House function had one scoop.  This used to be called the “silly season,” that blissful period coinciding with the Congressional summer recess, when the then “mainstream media” was forced to make a livelihood eked out of paid-by-the-columnar-inch newsprint.

Today, the Make-Believe Media engages in making up fake news 24 – 7 x 365.  And once the fake news is promulgated by one “news” source, expect all the others to jump on the “story,” expand upon it, opine about it ad nauseam, debate it, demand it be investigated, and then harp on it incessantly on into the future as if it were established fact.   This is quite apparent in the case of the White House daily briefings:  The same question, worded differently, will be asked multiple times.  If the Press Secretary’s wording minutely differs from a written press release or from what he said on the same subject a day or two earlier, Voila!  SOMEONE is LYING!  I’ve been watching these briefings regularly and the pattern would be humorous if it weren’t so stupid!

I’m pessimistic about the prospects for any improvement in the quality of the information product delivered to We the People by the Fourth Estate.  I’m afraid we’re just going to have to suffer with their continued devolution until such time as the overwhelming majority of us just stop watching or listening to them.
