Betsy DeVos, was confirmed as Secretary of Education with the help of VP Mike Pence. Now the whole country will see how "low energy" Jeb Bush runs an education system, through an education secretary, as he did if Florida. Mike Pence also got a chance to stab the nation's parents and teachers in the back as he did in Indiana. In addition, Donald Trump is proving to be the train wreck I and other nevertrumpers thought he was going to be.
I could be wrong, but DeVos would have to go against a lifetime of her own ideology to get rid of common core. Just as Trump will never rise above his liberal progressive New York values, Devos will not rise above hers.
So its over. You Trump supporters will have to hold his feet to the fire, while he kicks you in the face. Good luck with that, I'm out!

I'm surprised you are so adament but so be it. I am so far happy with Trump on many levels. I'm willing to wait and see with her. A GOP introduced a bill today to shut down the DOE I think it was in 2018 but don't hold me to that one. I hope - you are wrong. We have to get rid of common core. And do...

Well if you forget who wrote this (ty for the info btw) - what do you think of the opinion itself if you didn't know? I think we are turning a corner away from fed mandated education and that is why she was chosen.

So sorry for you, Willis. So I can get a feel as to where you're coming from, which, if any, of the other candidates with (R) after their names would you have preferred?

Are you referring to the Primary or the General? If it is the Primary, I would have preferred Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, or Carly Fiorina. I was definitely against Jeb Bush, but as far as education is concerned we bought Donald Trump but received Jeb Bush anyway

I think this is a great idea. However if you think the same bunch of Republicans who reauthorized No Child Left Behind, re-branded as the Every Student Succeeds Act, you are deluding yourself. It may be worth a shot, so go ahead and promote it. As I wrote before, I am out of this game of pretending ...

This article and others like it are the reason I am so disappointed by President Trump choosing Betsy DeVos. The stop common core movement had started to become active again to block her Confirmation. Yet this article and no one else even mention common core by name or inference. Who cares what the ...

Don't forget - Luke 18:27 What is impossible by men is possible by God. (Work in faith towards ending common core.)
