Thanks for the great Christmas card Marge! And, yes there is a bit of a miracle involved with my receiving it.
Yesterday I went out to get the mail to find it saturated! I have no idea how this happened because the sprinklers come on during the night when no mail is in the box and it did not rain so how water got into the mail box is a serious mystery.
Without really looking at the items, because I was on my way to take off for the afternoon, I separated them and laid them out to dry. Some items I figured were going to be a serious challenge to recover if they could be recovered at all. I noticed in the middle of the stack one item wasn't as wet as others but the envelope was still thoroughly damp.
Tonight I remembered the wet mail and went in to see where it was at on drying out and also now with more time, to see what the items may be. Item by item I opened them to find most are still soggy and needed to be laid out again for more drying. All except one that is, the one that was in the middle.
When I turned over the item I realized it was a Christmas card from Marge. My heart kind of dropped because I figured it probably got dampened and ruined. I truly cherish Marge's Christmas cards for her unique artwork is always so beautiful and inspiring.
When I opened it I really couldn't believe my eyes, it had no signs of being wet at all! Nothing was ruined about it and it was in perfect condition.
I just know that was a miracle. So thanks Marge so much for the truly lovely card and thanks God for keeping it safe for me.
I noticed something right away, not that I am any kind of art expert or critic but just from being familiar with your work I suppose. This item looks like a much more free spirit...
