Ted Cruz did not blame Donald Trump for the violence at his rallies. Moreover, he defended Donald's First amendment right to free speech. I do not blame Ted Cruz for defending Donald Trump because people are turning on Trump's opponents for gently hinting at the 200 pound gorilla in the room. I do think the first amendment applies to governments and not individuals, but why argue.

When you look at this issue, keep in mind that we are electing the President of the United States. A President that, thanks to Obama and weak Republicans, has almost no limit on its power to hurt people who disagree with it.

Here is what Ted Cruz said in a  Meet The Press Interview following the violence.

SEN. TED CRUZ:

Well, let's be clear. Listen, the protesters have no right to engage in violence. They have no right to threaten violence. And these protesters, whether it's Black Lives Matter or Bernie Sanders protestors who are coming in just trying to shout down any speaker, that's not free speech. The First Amendment gives you a right to speak, but it doesn't give you a right to silence others.

So the protestors are behaving abusively and wrong. But, at the end of the day in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. And it is not beneficial when you have a presidential candidate like Donald Trump telling his supporters, "Punch that guy in the face."

Now, I agree that we should not blame Donald Trump for the violence at his rallies. But when Donald Trump says he wishes he could a punch a protester in the face; his supporters are more likely to punch a protester in the face.

When Donald Trump says he will pay the legal fees of someone who hurts a protestor, some misguides souls might take that as encouragement.

All this is theory and maybe Donald Trump is not responsible for what happens at his rallies. Maybe, the man who has tapped into the anger of millions of Americans may himself have get angry at times. He may have such rapport with his supporters that he inadvertently provokes anger in others,

Donald Trump is a master at connecting with his audience by using a technique described here. Donald Trump knows how to engender fear and to make himself everyone's savoir. Watch who he does it in these two videos, Donald Trump's Covert Powers Of Persuasion, Donald Trump's Debates: 5 Mental Tricks You Didn't Notice

It is entirely possible that Donald Trump is so good at persuasion that he himself cannot control the direction it will take. That is as good an excuse as any for what he has said about protesters in this video. Mashup of Trump praising violence against protesters.

Now let's compare that to how Ted Cruz engages protesters at his rallies. This is not a one to one comparison but an example how the mindset of each candidate.. Ted Cruz Takes Down Code Pink Hecklers on Iran

Martin Luther King made his supporters sign a pledge of nonviolence. Even Glenn Beck had an unwritten requirement for nonviolence against protesters at his rallies.

Let's not miss the point about any candidate's acceptance and even encouragement of violence against protesters. As Tea Party guy, I am going to protest something, someday that a would be President Trump or any President does. Donald Trump has already promised to do several UN-Constitutional actions already.

What bothers me and what should bother you is what happens if Donald Trump becomes the most powerful person on earth and no longer has to play nice with the citizens.

With numerous Federal agencies weoponized by past Presidents, not to mention the IRS running our healthcare; do we really know what a Federal "punch in the face" will be exactly? I for one do not want to find out, that is why I support Ted Cruz.

Cruz is who the establishment fears the most. Not Trump, who will roll over and play dead for whoever bribes him with the stuff he wants.

I hope that is true. It bothered me a lot that he tossed the ball to Rubio in FL. He basically only had one big rally in Orlando with Hannity where he addressed national things not Florida in any way particularly. He also didn't set up but a few offices here until days before race. The best I can te...

The Establishment was OK with Trump as Long as he kept Ted Cruz from winning the nomination outright. Mitch McConnell hates Ted Cruz for exposing all his tricks and lies.

In order to keep Ted Cruz from winning the GOP would be willing to have Trump lose to Hillary. The GOP will blame The Tea Party a...

Here is a video - that was taken immediately after Cruz walked out of his own rally going on that night. This is where the blame of Donald Trump was prominent.

This is the one I heard. It sounded like blame to me but I voted for him anyway.

Yes, this sounds like Ted Cruz is saying that Donald Trump set a tone, which can lead to violence. Did he? I think you can answer that question for yourself.
But why are these protestors going to Donald Trump's rallies? Why didn't these protestors go to Cruz's rallies? Why were they absent for so lo...
