In a few days I turn 19! This is a big year for me. I am moving away from my mother's to go to a new college this fall and I will vote in my first presidential election.
I am afraid the man I like the best won't still be in the race for the primaries. I picked Ben Carson for being what I think is the best Christian. It doesn't look like he is doing too good. Because I don't know that much about politics I think who ever I pick will have to be the best Christian who has a chance and who is left in the race when I vote. I wish we could all vote on the same day so we wouldn't rule out good people so early on.
I am going to watch the debate with my dad tonight. I watched another one a few weeks ago. I get bored because I don't know what they are talking about half the time. I know it is my future at stake and I can see how things got worse after Obama was first elected. I don't want to live in a socialist country. I don't want free things. I want a chance to earn my own things. I hope my dad can answer my questions when they are debating.
I wish they would talk about how their plans would help young people like me. We have a long time ahead of us to live with the success or mistakes they make.
I am praying we get the best person to help us.
