Today was a big day of getting computer problems sorted out. Because my issues took more time than expected, the technician didn't run this program on my machine but he set me up to do it and told me this is a fantastic windows repair freebie that he uses on his own computers and on the computers of clients.
The instructions are to download it, go to the panel and choose repair. Select every thing, hit run. Sounds easy enough!
I'll try it later.
As for my many issues, I'm back about 80% but the main things are at least doable for me now without feeling like a one armed paper hanger trying to paper over the Eiffel tower. It's been nuts!
He also highly recommends I switch to Windows 10 (sigh)
Most of the time they are programs that while "scanning" they dump a lot of spyware (at the least) and then make you pay to have them removed. Unless you are one who can find all that junk and manually rem...
